Business Systems Analyst Level 4

Position: Business Systems Analyst Level 4
Location: Richmond VA or Anywhere in the US



MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
* Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
* May require an associate's degree in a related area.
* 4 - 8 years of experience in the field or in related area.
* Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
* May lead and direct the work of others.
* May report directly to a project lead or manager.
* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Specific Job Functions:
* Identifies and defines business services that provide common functionality to consumer applications across the organization.
* Responsible for working with application program teams or business domain experts to identify existing or new services that will meet enterprise requirements.
* Defines service interfaces, specifications and test scenarios for each service that will provide common enterprise functions for key business domains.
* Consults with application teams to support implementation of enterprise services according to specification. Maintains consistency of service elements and concepts with enterprise models. Supports enterprise integration architects and developers to ensure successful service version management and integration.
Specific Skill Set Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in Object or Service-Oriented Analysis and Design using Use Cases and UML Modeling techniques Demonstrated experience using and creating Data or Object models
* Experience using Business Process models
* Expert level knowledge of XML and supporting XML editing tools
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation
* Understanding and experience in Healthcare Payor business processes and concepts strongly preferred Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Integration concepts and practices
* Ability to demonstrate leadership, collaboration and independence in a virtual team environment
