REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Minimum 8 years of software development experience with 6+ years Java experience and 4+ with IBM WebSphere Portal including WebSphere Portlet Factory
* Computer science degree
* Expertise with J2EE and Portal architecture, design patterns, J2EE/Java best practices, J2EE specifications
* Expertise with Java/J2EE technologies: Java, JSP, JSF, Ajax, Spring, JMS, JDBC, XML/XSLT, HTML, DHTML, JSR 168/286 portlet development
* Expertise with application servers: WebSphere Application Server
* Expertise with Portal servers: WebSphere Portal
* Expertise with frameworks: MVC, Spring, AOP
* Must have expertise in modeling and designing J2EE architecture with the ability to communicate its intricacies to technical as well as business audiences
* Must have expertise in conducting requirements analysis and requirements gathering workshops, information architecture requirements and documenting software requirements specifications, designs and architecture using UML
* Past projects should range from full lifecycle, enterprise-level, commercial-software development to architecture design and some coding
* Must be able to translate business needs into effective technical solutions using WebSphere Portal Technologies
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the position requires a team player who is willing and able to work with and support business users
* Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both business and technical departments
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
* IBM Certified Solution Developer - IBM WebSphere Portal
* SCEA (Sun Certified Enterprise Architect)
* Master*s Degree in Computer Science
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking to fill an onsite (CEI HQ) development fulltime position for upcoming projects. Responsibilities will be to act as technical, business and architectural analyst for IBM WebSphere Portal based solutions. Responsibilities include all of the following:
* Will be responsible for documenting the user and system requirements
* Will be responsible for technical architecture and documenting the architecture of the solution
* Conduct project chartering sessions that includes business process analysis, requirements analysis, architectural, high level and detailed design
* Document business and technical requirements, designs and architecture using UML diagramming tools
* Develop development task lists, best practices, estimates for IBM WebSphere Portal application
* Provide technology leadership, development of reference architecture, proof of concepts, architectural oversight, training and mentoring to the development team
* Conduct code reviews, develop code templates
