The position does not require programming, but it does require the ability to manage software and hardware technology development and deployment that requires coordination across multiple teams. We practice agile development, with a focus on rational, sustainable schedules. There is a strong, collaborative relationship between program managers, developers, and QA engineers as partners in the delivery of quality services.
Responsibilities
• As a Program Manager, work with the project leads and development teams to establish overall product scope, create user stories and functional specifications, manage and prioritize the product backlog, participate in daily scrums and meta-scrums, and validate delivered software.
• Work with project manager and development team to create and maintain product scope and roadmap, track schedule against the roadmap, and escalate risks and issues.
• Be well verse with the Agile process with experience acting as Scrum Master.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders, including development teams, marketing, upper management, and external customers as needed.
• Coordinate across multiple development teams as needed.
Requirements
• Knowledge of online video distribution and security (DRM).
• Strong program management experience.
• Understanding of and experience with the full software development lifecycle, including functional and technical specifications, implementation, QA processes, deployment and maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Keen attention to detail and high level of commitment.
• At least 3 years of program management experience
- Experience working in the cable and internet industries (this group is a 50/50 split)
- Experience in deploying services
